Robinson, Budd, Barnette Electrify North Carolina Crowd in 1776 Action ‘Rally to Save our Schools’

On Thursday, just a few days ahead of a pivotal midterm election contest, Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, U.S. Representative and Senate nominee Ted Budd, and 1776 Action spokeswoman Kathy Barnette joined hundreds of parents, educators, and concerned citizens in Goldsboro, North Carolina, for a “Rally to Save our Schools.” With far-left ideologies like Critical Race Theory and radical gender theory continuing to spread in K-12 classrooms, the event was a powerful reminder that the parents’ rights movement is only continuing to gain steam after major victories in recent months.

The event kicked off with remarks from Kathy Barnette, our national spokeswoman and a fierce defender of parents’ rights. As she has so many times, Kathy electrified the crowd and delivered a hard-hitting message about the importance of our movement. “We have a lot of issues going on in this country, but if we lose this one, we lose a generation,” she said.

Kathy also moderated a roundtable with several community leaders who are on the front lines of the fight against radical indoctrination in K-12 schools. We heard powerful testimony from parents who have worked tirelessly to ensure that not just their own children, but every student in their local districts receives the quality education they deserve free from political influence. The panel urged our audience to similarly go out and get involved in whatever way they can – a message we couldn’t agree with more.

The roundtable was followed by remarks from Congressman Ted Budd, the Republican nominee for North Carolina’s open U.S. Senate seat. Congressman Budd discussed why this fight is so important, and reiterated his commitment to the 1776 Pledge.

To close out the event, Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson delivered powerful remarks about what makes America so special, and why those who seek to spread lies and falsehoods in our schools are such a danger to the future of our country. “We’re going to protect our kids and we’re going to get our kids right, come hell or high water,” he promised.

We can’t thank our supporters enough for making this incredible event possible. As a reminder, we will have another rally in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on Monday, November 7. A limited number of tickets are still available and can be reserved for FREE here.
