The Radical Left Tries Again For $6 Billion CRT Bill

Last year, we warned you about the so-called “Civics Secures Democracy Act,” a $6 billion boondoggle that would politicize civics education and infuse Critical Race Theory in classrooms throughout the country. 

The bill stalled in the Senate, but its radical left-wing backers haven’t given up. The bill was just introduced in the Senate again, and this time they’re more determined than ever to impose their woke agenda on every American student. 

During a speech last week, former President Trump made clear just how dangerous this push for politicized “civics” education is: 

“Democrats are right now racing to pass a federal bill to push CRT in schools nationwide. Known as the Civics Secures Democracy Act, this bill would spend billions and billions of dollars imposing federal curriculum standards for so-called Civics Education, which is nothing more than a fake name for Radical Left indoctrination. It’s Common Core 2.0. The idea of creating a national civics curriculum controlled by these communists and socialists is madness for the United States of America… Every conservative in the House and Senate needs to unite to kill this bill.”

Stanley Kurtz, one of the leading national voices in opposing CRT and politicized education, has also sounded the alarm on the Civics Secures Democracy Act in an article for National Review: 

“The misleadingly named “Civics Secures Democracy Act”… will allow the Biden administration to push Critical Race Theory (CRT) on every public school in the country. Over a six-year period, this $6 billion pot of competitive grant money will create a de facto national curriculum — just like Common Core.”
