1776 Action Launches New Campaign in Support of SD Anti-CRT Bills

Last year, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem became the first elected official in the country to sign our ‘1776 Pledge to Save our Schools.’ Governor Noem has been an incredible leader in our movement, and we could not be more proud to stand alongside her in the fight to eliminate political indoctrination in classrooms.

Earlier this year, 1776 Action President Adam Waldeck joined Governor Noem at her annual State of the State Address, where she outlined a legislative plan of action to ensure divisive ideologies like Critical Race Theory and Action Civics are not taught in South Dakota schools.

Governor Noem has now introduced two bills – one for K-12 schools and one for public colleges and universities – to make good on this promise. You can read more about her bills here. In support of this effort, 1776 Action is announcing a statewide texting campaign and brand new TV ad to raise awareness about this important legislation. You can check out the ad below:

We applaud the brave efforts of leaders like Governor Noem. But we know it’s going to take all of us to protect our children and grandchildren from political indoctrination. In the weeks ahead, we’ll continue to update you as we do everything we can to help this legislation become law.
