1776 Pledge Gains Momentum in the Great Plains

First it was South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and then GOP gubernatorial nominee Glenn Youngkin in Virginia. They both signed our 1776 Pledge to Save Our Schools, which we introduced to ensure that honest, patriotic education becomes a central voting issue in state and local elections.

Now, they’ve been joined by both GOP candidates for Kansas governor, Attorney General Derek Schmidt and former Governor Jeff Colyer.

Read more about it here.

Both men are running to replace the incumbent Democratic Governor, Laura Kelly, who recently vetoed a bill that would have required high school students to pass a basic civics test to graduate.

As you can see above (and in our tweet), Attorney General Schmidt posted a picture of him signing, and former Governor Colyer, joined by a number of state legislative and school board candidates, held a special campaign event where our pledge was read aloud and signed.
